In order to enter the Examination system of the CPSP as an examiner, one has to proceed in a step-wise fashion. I was made a training supervisor, after acquiring at least five years post-Fellowship experience and go through about six different training workshops at the Medical Education and Teacher training Department of the CPSP. One has to show evidence of continued professional development (CPD) in order to be invited to climb a series of steps such as observer, paper-setter, theory paper assessor, and then an examiner at the clinical and oral part of the examination.
